Back to School Bash offers free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, health resources and family fun

Baltimore, MD — Ascension Saint Agnes, together with community partners, will host its annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Saint Joseph’s Monastery, 3801 Old Frederick Road. 

The free event will help local students get ready for the new school year with backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, food, health education and family fun, including a DJ, moonbounce and face painting. 

Students attending Baltimore International Academy West, Beechfield Elementary/Middle School, North Bend Elementary/Middle School and Violetville Elementary/Middle School are also eligible to receive one free uniform shirt per child, while supplies last. 

“Our Back to School Bash is an opportunity to invest in the success of local students and remind families they have a community behind them,” said Lesley Wallace, Vice President, Population Health, Ascension Saint Agnes. “We’re especially thankful to our associates, whose generous donations provided many of the school supplies we’ll be distributing. Their kindness helps ensure students have the tools they need to start the school year ready to learn.” 

This event is made possible through the support of our valued community partners, St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish and My Brother’s Keeper. 

Families are encouraged to arrive early.
