About MMCA
Multicultural Media & Correspondents Association (MMCA)
Who owns the story controls who wins—and who loses.
MMCA exists because the stories shaping our economy, democracy, and culture have too often been told about Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities—without being told by them, for them, or owned by them.
We are a growing national coalition of BIPOC media owners, journalists, correspondents, publishers, content creators, advocates, and allies united to confront a deepening media diversity and ownership crisis with real economic, social, and political consequences.
MMCA is not simply a professional association—we are a movement for narrative equity.
Our work is grounded in a simple but powerful truth:
Representation without ownership is not power. Visibility without control is not equity.
Through coalition building, advocacy, constructive engagement, and direct stakeholder support, MMCA advances policies, partnerships, platforms, and pathways that expand content creation, media ownership, economic sustainability, and narrative authority for BIPOC media stakeholders.
We amplify excellence. We defend credibility. We shift power—so communities are no longer spoken for, but heard, respected, and rewarded.
